‘Wickedly funny’ - The Times

I'm an award-winning, internationally bestselling novelist now performing stand-up comedy across London, Kent and the wider UK.

My comedy blends sharp observational material with dark, playful storytelling and postmodern absurdity.

Fans of my writing will recognise some of the same themes and sensibility in my live comedy performances.

I'm particularly keen to work with bookers looking for intelligent, playful comedy that appeals to Gen Z and urban audiences.

See below for videos of my recent performances - and here for upcoming events.

Later this year I will be competing in British Comedian of the Year 2026 - watch this space for more details over the coming months!!!

My new novel, The Runner, is published by Scribner in July 2026. My previous novel The Sleepwalkers reached #2 in the Times Bestseller list and was chosen as a Waterstones book of the month. I’ve been translated into 26 languages and am weirdly popular in Italy and Russia as well as the UK.

I have been described by the New York Times as a ‘Peculiar gonzo genius’. Come and see if it’s true!

    The Stag 15th April 2026

Smallish audience but they loved it :)

    Canterbury Tales 9th April 2026

Another pub gig with a strangely laid-out room and not much actual comedy audience but I made the best of it and got some really great laughs anyway. When I say ‘Someone save Mikey’, it’s because he is literally choking on his drink with laughter. Jock was also good value. ‘Name a prime number’ - ‘I haven’t got a fucking clue…!’

    The Stag 8th April 2026

Small audience for this new material night but they laughed a LOT. This is the first time I tell my story about being partially radicalised by a toxic right-wing comedy cult. I think it has a lot of potential! And part two is coming…

    LOLipops Hammersmith 6th April 2026

My second spot at LOLipops in Hammersmith. The MC Andy Zapp was hilarious - lots of us tried to fist-bump him and eventually I succeeded (not till the end though). Loved how the audience got into this - especially the game in the middle…

The Stag 1st April 2026 'Slay'

This was a 10 min new material spot that went incredibly well - so many big laughs on material I was still working out. Thanks everyone!

    Dunstable 4th April 2026

The hardest gig I’ve done so far was in a pub in Dunstable which was full (beyond where the video can pick up) and hardly anyone was listening - so I warmed them up with some Arsenal chants. All the comedians found this one super tough but I kept going and ended up with a lot of the audience with me. And yes, I did almost run away when I saw the England flags, but I decided I’d stay and educate them all about multiculturalism lol.

    Hamster in a Korma

Second half of my set for Free Range Canterbury at Moorings Cafe Bar. Part of the act is that an audience member has to video it for ‘Derek’, the council Outreach Officer, so he will pay me. This is the start of that. People on stage with me are audience volunteers.
